"Are they sore from turning the wheel while trying to park Wilfred? From pouring water? Lifting those buffet trays? Doing intensive origami? The Tae-bo 8 minute workout? Trying to pull open a door that said push? I want to know! "
This is the list of guesses that Ashley guessed about why my arms were sore for 4 while days. I think theya re pretty good guesses, but they are all incorrect. I didnt want to say why my arms were sore because it is very embarassing. But, I suppose I will tell you. Its all about a good story, right?
Here I was, Tuesday night, all alone in my new house. I was bored. I was thinking too mauch about my wedding, and I decided that it would be a really good idea to getmy arms in better shape for my wedding dress. So what did I do? Pushups. I dont how many I did, but it was obviously too many. Oh yeah, and they were girl pushups. So, I was feeling kind of proud of myself, and I eventually went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, I realised my mistake: I am obviously not meant for any sort of physical exertion. I could hardly move my arms. It hurt to wash my hair in the shower. It hurt to get dressed. I was unable to hang my purse on my shoulder; I couldnt reach up that high. This went on until Saturday. It was really bad, and then all of a sudden, I woke up and felt fine. Bizarre. I dont know if my muscles suddenly came out of shock, or if it was the not-legal-for-sale-in-Canada drugs that John-Mark gave me. (Aleve... from America... dont worry... no narcotics or anything) I have since decided that my arms will look fine in my dress. No more pushups required.
Thats it, Ashley, I hope you are satisfied.

Hehe, GREAT story. I like the part about the purse not going on the shoulder. Nice touch.
I was going to guess push-ups, but I couldn't actually imagine you just deciding to do push-ups. Oh, I am more than satisfied and I'm glad they feel better.
Yeah, well, thats the end of my push up career. Well, maybe I wil do some for you if you speak you know what, or tell me you know what.
Okay. Maybe I will speak you-know-what, but I just can't tell you you-know-what.
Or, I guess you don't know what.
No pain no gain...
oh yeah, and the pushups would affect your pecs more than the arms per se...thus the inability to reach up...your pecs are wasted (by the shoulders). Glad to hear you're giving up on the working out :)
