Wednesday

I am at home, sitting. As usual. And guess who calls me? Charlie! She had a day off camp and decided to call me to see if I was around. And I was. Woohoo. So she came over for a while, and it was exciting. And she is volunteering at Sr. Teen, and she will be at Bryana's wedding. Yay. So fun. Then, Celia and Adam drive out to Mission to hang out with Robyn and Nooksack and me, so we did. We went to camp and we saw Deb and the dining hall/chapel/covered deck/new kayacks. Then we went to Rocko's and had pie. We went to the Roste's for a while and played DDR... and Robyn went and got Chelsea from camp. We had dinner there and then we went to play Bingo. Robyn and I both won a dinner with local country singer Kenny Huss. Too bad I will be at camp and Robyn will be in Vegas.... (Sarcasm.... I dont even know who Kenny Huss is) But it was fun. Bingo is kind of hard and stressful. After we went to Ron Joyce's (Tim Hortons) and then we went home.

Tuesday

Kortney and I are hanging out at a park, and we get hungry, so we decide to go for dinner. But we also decide that we would like to hang out with Chelsea. So we try to call camp. FYI: 411 doesnt know about Camp Luther. So we drive out to camp. She is not there because she is having dinner at Matt's house. Al gives us the phone number. Scary. (If you know Al, you understand what I mean) No answer. So we go for dinner. Salads. It is far too hot for anything cooked. After, we try to call again. No answer. So what is the next logical course of action? Drive around Mission to try and find their new house. So we do. We find a lot of very nice, fancy houses, and considered asking someone if they knew where Shanghai is.... bad idea. But, no Matt's house. Then we turn onto another street, drive along it for a while, and WE FIND MATTS HOUSE! Random, hey? We know it is Matt's house because it has Matt's van, and Deb's jeep. We notice that everyone is in the backyard. So we sneak up to the gate, and surprise everyone, but especially Chelsea. They were getting ready to go, so we took Chelsea and Walker and we went to that "Coffee shop of Mission" (Grab a Java). It was an adventure, thats for sure. I can't belive we found the house. Crazy.

More Power

Today I learned an important life skill. I used a power drill. It was scary, intimidating, and surprisingly fulfilling, even fun. Who knew? Anyways the point is, I hung my curtain and my Martha Stewart Rollerblinds, and now I will no longer wake up to workmen 6 inches from my window. I can get dressed in my own bedroom. Woohoo. (Oh and despite what I may be portraying in my blog, I really dont like Martha Stewart very much. Honest.)

Gregory's new home

So there are 2 exciting things that I did today, and they are kind of related. First, I got a new desk for my room. It is amazing. (I suppose most people wouldnt fins ANY desk amazing, but most people dont consider wandering around Staples a date either.) Some assembly required. No problem. I am a capable young woman. And besides, all I had to do was attach the legs. Easy Peasy. Not. That was probably the most frusterating thing since Mexico. I dont understand why it would be so hard to screw on 4 legs! Oh well, I did it. The second exciting thing was that I finally took Gregory out of his jacket-thingy and put him in the desk. I even turned him on. It was wonderful to see his bright face and his sensitive touch-pad again. I didnt realize how much I missed him. And the best part was that his background is a picture of a sign from a Mexican Pizza hut buffet. "Do not get near without a shirt "Unless your naked"" Haha. So yeah. One of these days I should take him on the internet and then maybe I can put pictures on my blog. How exciting. Anyways, thats all for now!

Meringue

Here are the events leading up to the creation of Meringue cookies.

1) Cassy watches Martha Stewart, and watches her put meringue on some fancy dessert
2) Cassy says to herself "I like meringue"
3) Cassy gets the urge to bake

4) Cassy searches for a recipe for meringue cookies
5) Cassy finds said recipe and proceeds to make the meringue
6)Cassy preheats oven to 250 degrees fareinheit... thats not very hot...
7) Unable to find the egg seperator, Cassy tries her hand at hand-seperation.
8) Seperation successful.
9) Cassy adds sugar and vanilla and a pinch of salt
10) Cassy beats the meringue.
11) While watching the mixture thicken, Cassy wonders who ever thought 'Hey, I wonder what will happen if I beat the heck out of egg whites?'
12) A good question, no?
13) The meringue has been beaten to perfection. It only took the better part of half an hour.
14) Cassy scoops the meringue onto baking sheets.

15) Cassy has created 20 cookies. The recipe told her it would make 36.
16) Cassy checks how long they need to bake and notes the time
17) 60 minutes! That is a long time to bake... maybe if the oven were hotter... no, better stick to the recipe.
18) Operation succesful.

Nothing

So I am officially tired of doing nothing and sitting around the house everyday. I am really looking forward to camp starting. But talk of that is no fun, and this is supposed to be fun. So... fun things include: nothing. Nothing is fun. So in conclusion, I am bored, and free....like, everyday. Hint hint.

Oil Your Stroller

I feel like I should write something today, even though I dont have much to say... oh, and Ang, the answer to your question is this: probably, but oh well. Here is something that I learned today. Jogging strollers are harder to steer than regular ones. I think that when I have kids, I will get a regular-type one. Partly because I dont jog. I also got to experience Whyte Ave this evening, after an Oilers game... I know, I know, I am in BC, but I do however have a boyfriend who really likes the Oilers and thought to call me so that I could experience it, too. It was loud. And car horns sound funny over the phone. I can only imagine the chaos. And I think I am OK only imagining it. So yeah. I think that is all. And Jen- I hope you are having fun. (I think you know what I mean.... heh.
Oh yeah, and Shanghai, you will never be as creepy as me, but keep trying!
Oh yeah, and the colour of this font is the colour of one of the walls in my room. SO cool.

Reflections on Jen's rear end

Today was the day Jen and Ang and I decided to make blogs for each other. I don't know if it was just the coffee talking, but I think it is a good idea. Hopefully this makes for lots of random summer entertainment. My first topic of discussion is, as my title suggests, Jen's rear. She has one. We saw it in the pants she got today. It is pretty nice, ...It likes me. So heres to happy blogging in the months to come.
